Computer Slow? Computer Appearance.

Speed up your computer by reverting back to Windows Classic Style.
Start > Control Panel > Display > Appearance tab > Choose “Windows Classic Style” from dropdown menu > Click Apply
For an even faster appearance:
With Appearance Tab still open choose “Effects” button and uncheck all options.

Slow Computer? – Slow Start Up – Windows XP

- Clean out your Startup folder- C:\Documents and Settings\username\Start Menu\Programs\Startup, where username is your Windows logon name. Delete any shortcuts you don’t want loaded.
- Delete Schedule tasks – C:\Windows\Tasks. Delete any tasks you don’t want.
- Run Services computer-management console by typing services.msc in “run” in Windows XP – Start > Run. Stop startup services by changing “automatic” to “manual” – Advanced, don’t try unless you know what you are doing.

Slow Computer? Disk Defrag and Optimize your Hard Disk Drive

Quick Disk Defragmentation Windows XP:
Click “My Computer” >> Right click on your C: Drive (or drive you want to defrag) >> Click “Properties” >> Click “Tools” Tab >> Click “Defragment Now” >> Click Drive you want to Defrag >> click “Defragment”. This can take quite a while to finish.

External Monitor ruined my Laptop display

How to delete a recently installed monitor display driver:
Right click “My Computer” >> click “Manage” >> Click “Device Manager” >> Expand “Monitors” >> Delete the problem display driver listed >> Reboot your Computer.
